The old saying that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" still holds true today. Beauty is all about how you feel about yourself and what make you feel pretty. Some women swear by makeup and never want to leave the house without it where others do not like or cannot wear makeup. But makeup itself is definitely not what determines true beauty in a person. A person can be beautiful with or without makeup. Natural beauty is actually found to be more attractive to most people than beauty that is gained by wearing a lot of makeup.

The trick to staying beautiful without the use of makeup is to take good care of yourself and your needs. People will be able to see immediately if you have been taking good care of yourself or not. Your skin, your hair, your face and your body all need to be taken care of if you want to look beautiful. Most importantly the right kind of attitude about yourself and others can also show forth your beauty.

Take Care of Your Skin

Since your face is the first thing that most people see when they meet you and a large part of your face is your skin, it is important that you take special care of it. Your skin can easily become oily and full of blemishes if you do not take care of it properly. You should wash your face at least twice a day with a cleanser; generally this is done when you wake up and before you go to sleep. Adding a moisturizer to your face can help you keep the skin hydrated and soft.


Take Care of Your Hair

Another part of your appearance is your hair, and is often used by people when evaluating your overall beauty. You should be sure to wash your hair every day and to keep it clean and well taken care of. You should choose a shampoo that will work well with your type of hair. Don’t just make hairstyles, but the proper hairstyle that brings out the best features of your face can make the difference in how beautiful you look. Look through different hairstyles with people who have faces that are shaped similar to yours and see which you find to be attractive. You can also ask your hairdresser for advice on what type of hairstyle would look best for the shape of your face. He or she can help you develop the best look for you.


Take Care of Your Body
If you want to look your best at all times without the use of makeup, a healthy diet will be essential. You should start by making sure you drink at least eight glasses of water every day. This will help keep your skin hydrated and give it a healthier glow. Water also works to get rid of unnecessary toxins found under the skin and in your body. By eliminating these toxins you will begin to feel better and look better. You will also need to eat better and avoid eating foods that are fried and high in fat. Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet because many of them are known to promote healthier skin and hair.


A regular exercise routine will also help promote a healthier and more beautiful appearance. You should do some type of cardio exercise like walking, running or swimming for at least thirty minutes every day. Exercising will give your body more energy and help keep you fit and trim. Diet pills should be avoided because most of them will not keep you properly hydrated or provide you with the energy boost that exercise will. If you are not good at keeping up with an exercise program join a gym or find a friend who will exercise with you.

You also need to be sure that you get enough sleep every night because lack of sleep can greatly affect how you look on the outside. If you do not get enough sleep it can cause dark circles to form under your eyes giving you the tired and worn look. You will also be lacking energy and that will make you appear sluggish and excessively tired. To look your best you must get at least six to eight hours of sleep each night possibly more depending on your specific body.


Your lips will also need to have some attention because they can become chapped and cracked. Be sure to wear moisturizer on them every day to keep the lips hydrated and healthier. You should also wear sunscreen for the lips when you know that you are going to be outside for a long period of time. Chapstick can be used to help prevent and heal chapped lips that will make your lips look rough.

Be Confident


You should be proud of who you are and present yourself in this manner. If you lack the necessary confidence, you just need to work on building it up. You can seek counseling where they will be able to teach you successful techniques on how to boost your confidence. There are also many self-help books that teach you how to build and boost your confidence by giving you little strategies and techniques you can use.
